Professional dance students and white voices will perform at Burgos Cathedral in May | Radio Castilla | Present

Thirty-one students in the last years of the Castilla y León Professional Dance School and the 13 children of the choir Pueri Cantores of the Cathedral of Burgos will offer a show on May 13 at the Golden Staircase of the Seo Burgos in which they will mix dance and music, within the acts of commemoration of the centenary of the temple.

It will be two choreographies of classical dance and two of contemporary that will be interspersed with performances by the choir of white voices, before a final part in which there will be room for improvisation of the dancers mixed with the public.

The director of the Dance school, Amaya Iglesias, assures that dance has a lot to say as an artistic expression and has drawn attention to the fact that some of the choreographies that will be exhibited on May 13 were staged before the pandemic but have not been released up to now.

The executive vice president of the Foundation for the VIII Centenary, Antonio Miguel Méndez Pozo, has stated that the event will be “endearing” and has proposed to the Dance school the organization of actions of this type in the coming months in the Atapuerca deposits and some emblematic point of the Santiago’s road, to organize dance shows in the three world heritage sites that Burgos has.
