It will remain a virus, most likely similar to the Omicron variant or Omicron itself, which will circulate constantly. “Then it will be possible to forget about COVID-19,” said Prof. Argirova. According to her, the Omicron variant is already in Bulgaria and has gradually started to replace the Delta variant, and this is one of the reasons why there are fewer infected and fewer people in hospital.
