Prof. Oleg Assenov, who is a member of the management board of the Road Infrastructure Agency, was involved in the accident with two victims near Mikre, reports NOVA.
He was a passenger in one of the cars. His condition is good and there are no injuries. The victims of the accident are not from the car in which Prof. Assenov was driving.
The accident happened around 8.00 am, and according to initial information, two cars collided head-on.. A 59-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were traveling in one, with Lovech registration. Both died on the spot from the impact.
The road is not closed. An on-site inspection is being carried out to determine the cause of the accident. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted.
