The Esther Vision Association proceeded on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in Koloko to the delivery of kits to fifteen beneficiaries of the said municipality. This action is part of the ”Brick by Brick” project: strengthening social cohesion and preventing conflicts at the Mali-Burkina-Faso border. The ceremony was chaired by the prefect, president of the special delegation of the commune of Koloko, Yamba Yaméogo.
The first phase of kit delivery took place in Orodara last June. It mainly concerned the beneficiaries of the municipality of Sindo. This time, it is the turn of the beneficiaries of Koloko to receive their kits made up of materials for the production of soumbala and beekeeping.
A salutary gesture from the Esther Vision Association.
Indeed, as part of the implementation of the project “Brick by Brick: Strengthening social cohesion and preventing conflicts on the Mali-Burkina-Faso border”, funded by Patrip Foundation through Interpeace, the Association Esther Vision initiated the Support Project for the Promotion of Green Jobs for the benefit of the communities of Koloko and Sindo. Thus, 30 beneficiaries, including 18 women and young girls and 12 young men, were selected in the 02 municipalities to be trained in entrepreneurship, in techniques of processing néré seeds into soumbala and in goat fattening.
According to the executive president of the Esther Vision Association, Valérie Thérèse Traoré/Ilboudo, this kit delivery ceremony in Koloko is part of this dynamic. The objective, she recalled, is to strengthen the capacity of participants to develop their income-generating activities. Finally, she was delighted with the strong mobilization of the actors around this activity. On the occasion, the prefect, president of the special delegation of Koloko, Yamba Yaméogo, sent his sincere thanks to the Esther Vision Association and its partners for this support for the beneficiaries from villages under its jurisdiction. territory and the municipality of Sindo. He was also delighted with the choice of his commune to host this ceremony. He invited the beneficiaries to make good use of the kits received.
As a reminder, the Esther Vision association was created in 2009 and officially recognized in 2010. It has its headquarters in Ouagadougou and has made the economic and social empowerment of young girls and women its priority. In the province of Kénédougou, Esther Vision works in the municipalities of Koloko and Sindo. In Kadiogo, it is present in the communes of Ouagadougou, Pabré and Saaba.
