The production of passenger cars in Romania amounted to 327,917 units in the first eight months of 2023, a decrease of 0.75% compared to the similar period in 2022, according to the data transmitted on Wednesday by the Romanian Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACAROM).
Of these, 204,541 units were produced in the Dacia plant in Mioveni and 123,376 units were produced in the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova.
In the period July-August 2023, a number of 58,829 cars were produced in Romania, a decrease of 4.5% compared to the similar period in 2022, respectively 61,634 units. Of these, 32,381 units were produced in the Dacia plant in Mioveni and 26,448 units were produced in the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova.
