Product Quality Update: Suzuki S-Presso Recall Campaign Ensures Customer Safety and Satisfaction in Indonesia

Jakarta

Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) conducted a recall campaign for its flagship compact SUV product, the S-Presso. This product quality update is carried out in order to maintain the satisfaction of Suzuki customers in Indonesia, especially S-Presso owners. Previously, Suzuki had also recalled the S-Presso in India.

“SIS always evaluates and maintains the best quality standards for all its products and services, especially for the security sector, as well as driving safety. As a form of ongoing responsibility, SIS is currently conducting a Product Quality Update for S-Presso model vehicles with a production range of July 2022 to March 2023,” wrote SIS in a statement received by detikOto, Friday (28/7/2023).

Suzuki is inviting customers who own the S-Presso to come to the Suzuki Authorized Workshop network to get the best service. Later, their S-Presso will receive component inspection and replacement for guaranteed driving safety.

“Globally, Suzuki has announced the need to maintain component quality on the S-Presso to maintain customer safety and security. The S-Presso units marketed in Indonesia are also part of this global product, so Suzuki in Indonesia also needs to participate in the product. Quality Update that is currently running,” said the Service Asst. to Dept. Head of SIS, Hariadi.

“We need to say that loyal Suzuki customers don’t need to worry, because after the components arrive, the Suzuki Official Workshop is ready to immediately carry out inspections and handling of the customer’s units so that their favorite car can be used with a safer feeling,” Hariadi continued.

Product Quality Update

The Product Quality Update carried out by Suzuki on the S-Presso is intended to inspect and replace the Steering Tie-Rod component. This component acts as a liaison between the steering system and the wheels so that the balance of the wheels while driving can be maintained stably and helps reduce vibrations in the vehicle’s suspension sector. With the replacement made by PT SIS, it is certain that the performance of these components is more optimal in providing security and safety while on the road.

Currently Suzuki is procuring a new Steering Tie-Rod component that will be used for replacement on customer units. As soon as the components are available, the official Suzuki dealer will contact and invite 2,228 customers who own the S-Presso unit in Indonesia to come to the Suzuki Authorized Workshop in stages to check the vehicle and make the necessary component replacements.

The S-Presso units included in this campaign are cars with a production period from July 2022 to March 2023. Units that are still at dealers and are in stock will be inspected and replaced before being sent to customers. Then, for units produced starting from April 2023 and after, they have received an update.

For prospective customers who are interested in owning an S-Presso, there’s no need to worry and they can still have an S-Presso as soon as possible. This is because Suzuki has checked the stock S-Presso at the dealer and made sure that the new unit is not included in a unit that requires component replacement, or in other words, has used the latest Steering Tie-Rod component.

The readiness of Suzuki’s after-sales service is supported by the presence of 206 Authorized Workshop locations spread across 33 provinces in Indonesia. When S-Presso customers attend and take part in the Product Quality Update, the Suzuki Service team will immediately inspect the Steering Tie-Rod section and replace components within 0.9 hours. So customers don’t have to wait long and can immediately use their car again as before. Replacement of Steering Tie-Rod components, both goods and services, is free of charge. This is a form of responsibility and service that Suzuki always prioritizes.

Apart from inviting Suzuki customers who already have S-Presso, Suzuki also appealed to customers to immediately make booking services independently.
