Al-Marsad newspaper: Media officer concerned about consumer awareness and product quality, Abdulaziz Al-Khudairi, sent a letter to the General Food and Drug Authority to close a loophole used by scammers to cheat honey .
And he said, through a video he posted on his Twitter account: “There is a loophole that I hope the Food and Drug Administration can close. The honey importer in huge quantities arrives in a” jerkl “and is subject to the disclosure of authority and conforms to specifications. “
He added: “The problem is that some labs come to take these quantities and put them in small packages and put in the name and content they want, and they focus on the fact that it’s local honey and not imported.”
He explained that to avoid fraud on imported honey, the Food and Drug Administration should not allow the importer except in small sealed packages.
