Kochi: Producers have demanded action against seven YouTubers for allegedly giving negative reviews against Dileep starrer ‘Bandra’. Ajith Vinayaka Films filed a petition in the Thiruvananthapuram Judicial First Class Magistrate Court stating that it was a fake review.
The plea says that the YouTubers ran a bad campaign after the release of the movie causing loss to the company. In the petition, it was mentioned that the Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner should be instructed to file a case against YouTubers and that they are spreading false propaganda on social media in a way that misleads the audience.
In the petition, the producers have demanded that a case be filed against YouTubers Ashwant Kok, Shihab, Unni Vlogs, Shaz Muhammad, Arjun, Shijaz Talks and Sai Krishna.
Filmmakers claim that crores are being lost through review bombing. At the same time, the police said that they will investigate if they receive a complaint pointing out that a person is being portrayed badly on purpose, and strict action will be taken if there is any threat or harassment to extort money from the staff.
