It should be remembered that Lara has the rights to this work, written by Emilio Carballido, and the last season it had was in 2021, with the sisters Sylvia Pasquel and Rocío Banquells, but for many years the producer had the intention of uniting on stage these two great figures of the show.
“There has always been talk of a rivalry between Lucía and Vero, but the reality is that they have a cordial relationship, which is why there wasn’t much of a problem when I proposed doing this staging,” Lara explained.
The producer pointed out that the person who was most reluctant to return to the theater was Verónica Castro, due to the bad experience she had in 2016 with the musical “Apluaso”, which Fela Fábregas produced, whose season was abruptly interrupted and without being given any explanation.

“We will begin rehearsals no later than February, since we want to premiere just before Easter, which is a good season for the theater since many come to the city on vacation,” Lara said.
Lucía Méndez has been more active in theater than the green-eyed woman, since she toured the United States with the play Monologues of the vagina, alongside Roxanna Castellanos and Lorena Herrera.
