Our Good Governance has invested in the strengthening of the productive infrastructures destined to the generation of new technologies that contribute to the increase in production, productivity and income of Small Producing Families.
In this sense, INTA has made 64 Productive Technology Infrastructures located in different Departments of the Country available to Producing Families, as detailed below:
– We have 14 Technological Development centers specialized in the production of beans, rice, coffee, cocoa, roots and tubers, fruits, vegetables; located according to the production areas of each crop.
– We have installed 21 breeding farms pig, sheep and goat genetics located in different departments of the country with the capacity to accompany 40,000 annually Producer Families with the insemination of his sows, sheep and goats.
– We have National Center for Improvement Bovine Genetics in the municipality of The Rama specialized in techniques of artificial insemination and embryo transplantation to improve the breeds of our cattle and increase the production of milk and meat.
– The National Center for Tissue Culture of banana in Managua, specializes in in-vitro seedling multiplication of plantain and banana cultivation with the annual production capacity of 1,000,000 plants.
– We have 19 laboratories at the disposal of the producer families for the analysis of soils and water; production of bioinsumos; biotechnology for the genetic improvement of plants; analysis veterinarians; prosecution milk and meat; Tasting and Barismo; Cocoa Processing.
– See him established 10 farms in the Corridor dry and experimental and the genetic improvement of crops adapted to the conditions of climatic variability.
From these technological infrastructures we accompany producers with:
– 325 new technologies to increase productivity improving the genetics and management of cocoa, coffee, basic grains, bananas, vegetables, roots and tubers, fruits, sesame, amaranth, major and minor livestock.
– 400 thousand technology bonds are produced and will be delivered this year containing seed and plant material from the different crops grown in the country.
– We train 180,000 producer families annually on crop management, fertilization, pest and disease control, seed production, harvest and post harvest management.
In this year 2021 our Good Government will be installing and inaugurating 40 new infrastructures productive, pig farms, laboratories and technological development centers.
