Jakarta –
Having an ideal body shape before the wedding is the dream of many prospective brides. There are various ways to diet, including taking medication.
Amy Jenson did the same thing. She was determined to lose her target weight before her wedding so that her wedding dress would fit.
Tell a story to Healthline, Amy actually relied on the ketogenic diet as her weight loss program. He followed this diet for 8 months and managed to lose weight.
Around the same time, he visited his naturopathic doctor. Based on the results of an A1C blood glucose test that showed Jenson was on the verge of prediabetes, doctors recommended semaglutide to help control his blood sugar levels.
When Jenson learned that weight loss was a possible side effect of semaglutide, he decided to take the drug to control blood sugar as well as a diet medication. It’s just that he experienced side effects from the drug.
“I had some side effects – two stomach problems over four months… that came and went, severe stomach pain and lasted for 8 hours,” he explained.
After three months of taking the drug, he lost 4.5 kg and reached his target weight. However, she continued taking it for another month until a week before her wedding for fear of gaining weight again.
However, he felt such severe pain that he had to be treated in the emergency room due to taking too much diabetes medication for his diet.
“The pain got really bad, and I had to go to the emergency room, and they immediately did a CT scan and told me that my appendix was so swollen that it was infected and that I needed emergency surgery,” he said.
