Problems with the file consultation page generate discomfort among descendants

There is a lot of discussion these days in Cuba about the updating of the information page of the files of the Consulate General of Spain in Havana.

Some descendants assured that said page, where you can consult the status of Nationality Files Law 52/2007, Law 20/2022, Law 36/2002 (Minors and Elders) and Marriage Transcription, has begun to update, gradually. . However, the process is going very slow.

“This is very slow. We will never finish again. Days without credentials and we are still in July and we are already in December,” commented a Cuban. “They only updated the date, I already received the volume and page and the page says that I am in process,” said another person.

Another user confirmed this situation: “they only updated the date, my mother already has a volume and folio and the page says pending registration.” “In addition. I still have my registration information and I’m still in process,” someone else claimed in the consulate’s own X account.

The truth is that many descendants who live in Cuba have been asking for months to update the website where the status of the files is reported.

“Since August 21, they have not updated it and there are many of us who are waiting to have information about our procedure,” they complained in that red social.
