Several people were also evacuated from their homes for security reasons.

BERN – A fire of probable arson broke out on Christmas Eve in the entrance area of a fitness center in Bolligen, a town near Bern. Nobody was hurt. The damage to property amounts to several tens of thousands of francs. The police are looking for witnesses.
The alarm was given at 02.00 and some Bolligen firefighters quickly put out the flames at the entrance to the gym, reports a note today from the cantonal police.
For safety reasons, several inhabitants of the building were temporarily evacuated. They were able to go back to their apartments after the shutdown.
