The head of pro-Russian separatists in the Donetsk region, Denis Pushilin, announced a general mobilization in a video this morning. He calls on reservists to report as soon as possible. “I appeal to all men who can hold a gun to defend their children, wives and mothers,” he said.
Shortly afterwards, the leader of the separatists in Lugansk delivered a similar message.
The evacuation of civilians from Lugansk and Donetsk started yesterday. About 700,000 people are transported by bus to Russia and received there.
