Vannes is tied with Perpignan at the head of the Pro D2, after his victory in Rouen on the 6th day. For his part, Colomiers crushed Angoulême, while Béziers beat Aurillac.

Due to the many cases of coronavirus that have appeared in certain clubs, only three Pro D2 matches took place this Friday as part of the 6th day. And this day allowed Vannes to return to equality with Perpignan at the top of the standings, thanks to its 23-19 success in Rouen, the red lantern. The score was 6-6 at halftime, after penalties from Lydon for the Normans and Hilsenbeck for the Bretons, then Surano scored a try in the 51st for Rouen, followed by new points at the feet of Lydon (19- 6). But thanks to two penalty tries in the 73rd and 77th, transformed by Hilsenbeck, who added a penalty in the 78th, Vannes snatched the victory, the fifth in six games.

Colomiers crushes Angoulême

Colomiers, for his part, occupies fourth place four points behind the leaders, after his fourth success in a row. And what a success! The Columérins crushed Angoulême, penultimate, with a score of 53-11! At halftime, they had already scored five penalties, thanks to Soulan, while Noble had opened the scoring (15-3). Then Colomiers started its festival of essays, with in particular Hika Elliott who registered three (61st, 65th, 73rd). Waël Ponpon scored the fourth, while Soulan continued to feast on the foot. The penalty test in the 59th did not change anything for the Charentais. Finally, in the last match of the evening, Béziers (9th) dominated Aurillc (6th) with a score of 19-3. John Madigan scored the only try of the match in the 58th, while Latorre scored all the other points from Béziers, at the foot. Reduced to 13 against 15 for seven minutes in the heart of the first half, the Cantal players scored their only points of the match (Halls penalty) at that time.
