The “Mobil-Siegel” has been awarded for the first time. It went to 38 companies from the region who are committed to climate-friendly mobility for their employees.
The Freiburger Verkehrs-AG (VAG) awarded employers on behalf of the city of Freiburg and in cooperation with the districts of Emmendingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald employers. When evaluating the applications, everything was important that made it easier for employees to cope with work-related mobility in the most climate-friendly way possible. For example, the (co-) financing of the job ticket or the opportunity to lease a bike for commuting, participation in campaigns such as city cycling, information on how to get to work safely and easily with climate-friendly means of transport, or benefits from the use of e-vehicles or cargo bikes. After three years, the company can apply for recertification. 38 companies and administrations were awarded and received one of the trophies that apprentices made and engraved in the VAG training workshop from discarded rail parts.
