AMSTERDAM – Damiaan Denys, professor of Psychiatry at Amsterdam UMC-UvA, and his fellow researchers Nienke Vulink and Arnoud van Loon have won the alternative Nobel Prize for research into the sounds of people that disturb others in such a way that you can speak of a disorder. This may include smacking, swallowing, slurping and coughing.
