Private pharmacies in Costa Rica will sell 160 thousand vaccines against Covid-19

Private pharmacies in our country will have available a total of 160 thousand doses of AztraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines, at least in the first instance.

Farmanova, the distributor of the parent company, does not yet indicate import dates but is expected to be confirmed soon.

At the end of January, the Ministry of Health approved Farmanova’s distribution of the vaccine in the private sector.

Both entities will follow up the immunized people to have updated data.

As of 7 February, the country has already applied nearly 8.5 million doses in total. 79% of the population has the first dose, 71% the second and 11.9% the third.
