The investigation follows the complaint of parents of students. A supervisor of a private Jewish school in Épinay-sur-Seine was indicted and imprisoned on Thursday for rape and sexual assault on a minor under the age of 15, the Bobigny prosecutor’s office said on Friday.
Seven victims counted
“At this stage of the investigation, seven victims, all minors, have been counted,” said the prosecution.
Thursday a judicial investigation, entrusted to an examining magistrate, was opened. The defendant, born in 1991, was indicted and remanded in custody in the evening.
He is suspected of having committed the acts since 2019 at the Tachbar school, a private school without contract.
On its website, the Tachbar school claims to offer “from kindergarten to college a school framework on a human scale with intelligent learning methods where the development of each child remains the only objective”.
The school administration could not be reached on Friday.
