TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Several private universities (PTS) in Indonesia has made it into the ranking of the best universities in the world according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) 2024 which was released on 27 June.
The 20th edition of the QS WUR features 1,500 institutions from 104 regions of the world, and is the only university ranking to emphasize indicators of employability and sustainability.
For the 2024 ranking, QS introduces the biggest methodological improvement so far by adding three new metrics namely sustainability, employability results and international research network.
The results are drawn from an analysis of 17.5 academic papers and expert opinions from more than 240,000 academic faculties and employers.
Of the 26 universities in Indonesia that won places in this ranking, there are seven private universities, which are as follows.
