Private details of Belarusian police officers online in the run-up to new protest

Hackers have leaked private records of about 1,000 Belarusian police officers in retaliation for the arrest of nearly 400 participants in yesterday’s women’s march. Today, Belarusians are again taking to the streets to demonstrate against President Lukashenko’s rule.

“As long as the arrests continue, we will continue to publish data widely,” the hackers, who call themselves Cyber-Partisans, said in a statement from the opposition news channel Nexta on Telegram. “No one will be unrecognizable, not even under a balaclava.”

The list contains the name, date of birth, place of employment and rank of the police officer. It is not yet clear how reliable this information is.
