Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has announced suggestions for consumers who can get subsidized fuel oil (BBM) of the Pertalite type. The proposal is presented in the attachment to the proposed revision of Presidential Regulation No. 191 of 2014.
The Director General of Oil and Gas (Migas) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji said that the proposed revision of Presidential Regulation 191/2014 also stipulates which sectors are entitled to receive the Special Assignment Fuel Type (JBKP) or the Pertalite type (RON 90).
So, are private vehicles also limited in purchasing Pertalite fuel?
Responding to this, Tutuka said that his party also regulated the types of vehicles entitled to receive Pertalite. The determination of eligible consumers is aimed at making fuel subsidies more targeted.
“Yes, JBKP, we (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources) also arrange JBKP, the point is to be right on target,” he said when met at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (14/2/2023).
Tutuka said that his party would consider whether private vehicles were also regulated in the criteria for consumers who were entitled to receive JBKP or Pertalite fuel.
“JBKP, yes, we are personal, we will consider the right target,” he said.
As is known, consumers who can get subsidized fuel oil (BBM) are regulated in Presidential Decree 191/2014. Currently, Tutuka said that the process of submitting an initiative permit was already at the Minister of State Secretary for approval by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
After that, revisions to Perpres 191/2014 can be carried out by adding anyone who is entitled to receive JBT Solar Subsidization and JBKP, namely Pertalite (RON 90).
“The government, the Minister of SOEs have submitted (initiative permits), have handed it back to the Minister of State. We propose, we (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources) are proposing to become an initiative permit,” said Tutuka.
Meanwhile, the attachment to the Revised Presidential Decree 191/2014 proposed by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is a proposal for JBKP consumers which had not previously been regulated in Presidential Regulation 191/2014.
Tutuka said consumers who could use JBKP or BBM Pertalite (RON 90) were small industries, agricultural businesses, fishing businesses, transportation and public services.
“In addition to JBT kerosene and diesel oil, the proposed changes to the attachment to Presidential Decree 191 add additional JBKP commodities or RON 90 gasoline where the consumer sector includes small industries, fishing businesses, agricultural businesses, transportation and public services,” he explained in a hearing with Commission VII DPR RI, Jakarta, Tuesday (14/2/2023).
