Since November 2020, 7 workers from outside the region have contracted COVID-19 while working for the CISSS. Three were infected on their job. Officials say this is not what caused the current outbreaks at their facilities. However, in the past, this has spread in certain living environments, without specifying which ones. From the 2e wave, a total of 121 healthcare workers in Bas-Saint-Laurent have been infected with the virus.
