Fraudsters use a high-income offer to lure into a fraudulent project using a scheme that is exclusively inherent in a fraudulent financial pyramid.
Privatbank warns users about a new fraud scheme that uses a fake website using the bank’s logo. The press service of the bank reports.
It is noted that the bank’s security service revealed the site p-invest.site, registered by unknown persons in the United States, which illegally uses the bank’s logo and identity.
“According to Privatbank’s cybersecurity experts, this site is 100% fraudulent, because it uses links to non-existent investment projects and companies without their consent, and also illegally uses the identity of the bank and other legal entities,” PrivatBank said.
It is noted that fraudsters use a high-income offer to lure into a fraudulent project according to a scheme that is inherent exclusively in a fraudulent financial pyramid with the use of social engineering and probable hacking.
