‘Prithviraj raised his hand and stopped the shoot, gave water to the boys and told them to take the shot’
Choreographer Manoj Fidak shares his experiences with Prithviraj. Manoj said that even though he was once seen as arrogant, the truth was not so. Saying that Prithviraj is a very genuine person, Manoj also shared an incident on the sets of the star. Manoj talked about Prithviraj in an interview given to Master Bin Channel.
It was a time when Prithviraj was said to be arrogant. But I know it isn’t. I have worked with him as a dancer and choreographer. You can’t make people believe.
An incident happened while he was shooting Chandy’s son. Choreography by Prasanna. Shot in Pollachi. It’s terribly sunny. There are seven or eight dancers. Raju sir is standing in front of them. There is no escape if it is sunny. A guy from Dancers said dude, give me some water. But they don’t pay attention while taking the shot. But Raju sir heard that it is water.
Raju sir raised his hand when he said ok as the shot is ready. In Thani Thiruvananthapuram dialect, he told the boys to just give them water and take a shot. At that time the spot went as a cult.
He said didn’t you hear that guy asking for water, didn’t you see standing in this sun, water didn’t come correctly when Prithviraj showed his hand, he said consider everyone. We took that shot while they were drinking water. Polly is such a genuine man. The dance will catch on quickly. Sometimes it seems that he came into the film as a well-trained man,’ said Manoj.
Kappa is the last Prithviraj film to release. Directed by Shaji Kailas, the film stars Aparna Balamurali as the heroine. Other characters were played by Asif Ali, Anna Ben, Jagadish and Dileesh Pothan.
