prisoner of his house on fire, a man rescued by firefighters

A 51-year-old man trapped in his burning house was rescued by firefighters from the Seyssinet-Pariset barracks and extracted at the last minute from the house invaded by smoke, this Thursday shortly after 1.15 a.m., at 2 rue Louise-Drevet in Grenoble.

The disaster broke out on the ground floor, occupied by an artist’s studio, the smoke reaching the first floor where the living area is located. The front door being armored, the firefighters entered the premises through a window and took charge of the sole occupant of the premises, who had sunk into unconsciousness.

They also extinguished the disaster with a lance, the fire itself having remained very localized and causing little damage. The victim was medicalized and transported in serious condition to the CHU Grenoble-Alpes. According to the police, his vital prognosis is engaged.
