Prison sentences of 18 and 10 years for ‘Easter murder’ Hoorn | Inland

Griep was shot dead on Easter Monday last year in his own house on the Ridderspoor in Zwaag, near Hoorn. He was killed by a shot to the chest. The man and the woman had relationship problems and were no longer living together at that time. The woman maintained a good friendship with P., who had been staying with her for several months.

The wife has always denied having anything to do with her husband’s death. P. eventually designated the woman as the perpetrator. The court in Alkmaar finds it proven that B. shot and killed her husband, to whom she had been married for many years, with a preconceived plan. She and her family friend P. bought a firearm with accompanying ammunition. On Sunday, April 12, 2020, according to the court, with hair dyed black, she went to Griep’s home and killed him.

To provide herself with an alibi, the woman sent a message to her own phone using the victim’s phone, which she had left at home. By agreement, P. had answered this message with her telephone. Later that day, they set out together to dispose of the murder weapon and clothing.
