Tehran ∙ After a month of anti-government protests in Iran, prisoners revolted in Evin prison in the capital Tehran. The ensuing fire caused panic. Shots were reportedly heard along with slogans from the prison where political prisoners, including foreigners, were held.
The video of the fire went viral on social media. But the authorities said the fire had been extinguished and the situation was calm.
