The television series Prison Break is getting a sixth season, actor Dominic Purcell lets via Tuesday Instagram know.
Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows in the series, responded to a number of rumors in a photo on his Instagram account. One of those rumors was whether it will be a sixth season Prison Break coming. To this he merely replied, “Yes.”
The show’s final season aired in 2017 and there has been much speculation about a possible sequel ever since. Purcell itself also participated.
Earlier this year, Purcell announced that he “could promise that there will be a new season Prison Break would be made if the story is worth telling ”.
Prison Break is about brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller). Burrows is sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and Scofield devises an elaborate plan to release his brother from prison and clear his name.
