Priority attention continues in 200 colonies due to COVID-19 during the red traffic light to reduce infections in Mexico City

The Government of Mexico City reports that 23 colonies are added this week, replacing another 23 that managed to reduce the number of positive cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), which are part of the list of the 200 priority attention colonies.

In such a way that, during the Red Traffic Light, actions are continued to focus territorial efforts in order to detect people with symptoms, provide support from the Responsible and Protected Homes Program, facilitate access to tests to the general population, as well such as monitoring sanitary measures for essential activities that are kept open.

The colonies that are later listed register a total of 9,835 active cases, which represent 38 percent of the total positive cases in Mexico City. If the cases in the neighboring neighborhoods are considered, they together represent 58 percent of the active cases in the city.

Through the Priority Attention to Colonies, Towns and Neighborhoods program, 220 thousand 809 rapid COVID-19 tests have been carried out so far in kiosks and macro kiosks, whose positivity is 24 percent; 443 thousand 317 home medical visits have been made; and guidance has been provided to 825,999 people.

The population is reminded that, as part of the actions to reinforce the detection and isolation of people positive for COVID-19 in these neighborhoods and throughout the city, there are 229 points where tests are carried out free of charge to the entire population , distributed in 117 health centers; 33 health kiosks in priority care neighborhoods; 50 macro kiosks; and 29 hospitals in the SEDESA network.
