Priolo (ER), a little farce is being made on election day

(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, 30 AUG – “This is an unprecedented theatrical event and we do not comment on rumors or – with reference to the press release following the Council of Ministers – generic appeals. When we were contacted by the Government, we responded with the usual sense of institutional collaboration that distinguishes us. Evidently the Government is encountering problems that certainly do not come from Emilia-Romagna”. This is what Irene Priolo, acting president of Emilia-Romagna, said about the government’s appeal to the regions on election day. “Now, however – continues the president of Emilia-Romagna – they seem a bit confused. And by doing so they risk confusing the voters on a serious matter like the date of the elections, set in Emilia-Romagna for November 17 and 18. For us, confusion is not good, we are not used to working like this. If the government has something to tell us, let us know formally, otherwise we are discussing nothing. Let’s stop this messy dance”. (ANSA).
