Want to change the way people watch TV? Prime Video is fast becoming one of the major global players in digital entertainment. We are changing the way millions of customers enjoy movies and TV shows through Amazon Prime, new releases for rent or purchase, and subscription through Prime Video Channels. Prime Video Channels, launched in 2015, distributes video channels including Showtime, Starz, Paramount+, PBS Masterpiece and many more channels OTT without a cable subscription.

The US Prime Video Channels Content Acquisition & Partnerships team is looking for a strategic, results-oriented analyst with a background in account management or program management to develop, grow and manage relationships with major TV studios. This individual will be responsible for leading relationships with key content providers, working across multiple teams internally and externally to drive business growth, analyzing the business to identify new selection and growth opportunities, and continually inventing and simplifying our processes to scale.

The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker who has a background in consulting or analytics, an attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities, an inclination to dive deep into the details, and passion for media and entertainment. They must have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate thoughts and ideas, both written and verbally, and think outside of their direct sphere of responsibility.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
• Manage and grow relationships with key Content Providers by addressing customer and partner feedback, securing ad spend commitments and partner inputs, such as marketing, programming materials, and participation in PVC programs
• This position will be working with Spanish language services and as such the ideal candidate will have experience/familiarity with Hispanic and Latin American audiences in order to serve as a subject matter expert and champion for this emerging audience, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver insights and inform strategy
• Collect and analyze internal and external data to support various Prime Video Channels initiatives, forecasting/modeling various scenarios for planning purposes and driving business improvement
• Conduct business reviews with Senior Management both internally and externally to identify opportunities, and develop and execute project plans, collaborating with merchandising, marketing, product and advertising teams to drive growth
• Learn and be curious of the customer and partner needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of Prime Video features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled streaming experience
• Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of professional work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, partnership management or sourcing new business
  • 7+ years of experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements

• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a consulting, analytics, or account management role
• Advanced experience with Excel, or other analytical/Business Intelligence tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey key insights from complex analyses to internal and external stakeholders
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Experience in/Passion for the media/entertainment industry
• Self-starter who is customer obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player
• Excellent business judgment and demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
• Strong ability to understand product and technical requirements and interface with Product/Technology teams
