Princess Märtha Louise’s friend comments

On the first Christmas day, Ari Behn, the ex-husband of Princess Märtha Louise, committed suicide. A week and a half later, her new friend reports on the writer’s death.

Durek Verrett has officially been the new friend alongside Princess Märtha Louise since May 2019. “He changed my life,” the princess wrote on Instagram at the time. Crown Prince Haakon’s sister had previously been married to Ari Behn for 15 years. In 2002 the couple said yes. In August 2016, the Norwegian royal family announced the separation. The divorce followed the following year.

“Nobody can ever replace you”

A few hours after the funeral service, she had also commented on the death of her ex-husband. Ari Behn left an emptiness. “Nobody can ever replace you for our beautiful girls,” she wrote on Instagram.
