Stockholm – A few months ago, a new chapter began for Princess Madeleine (42): After six years in Florida, she moved back to Sweden with her husband Christopher O’Neill (50) and their children. The move also means that the princess will have to attend to more royal duties.

The announcement that she will represent King Carl Gustaf as head of state from Friday (October 24th) is all the more surprising. According to Swedish media, citing the Siren news agency, the monarch will travel to Brazil at the end of the week.
Representing King Carl Gustaf: After a week, Crown Princess Victoria takes over
Starting next Friday (October 25th), Madeleine will step in for her father. According to the news portal, the royal calendar sees it hant.se suggests that Carl Gustaf will take part in the Global Child Forum in the palace with Crown Princess Victoria (47) on Wednesday (October 23rd). Starting tomorrow, Madeleine will take on the important representative role for a week. She then hands the task over to her older sister Victoria for another week.

The Swedish monarch has several appointments coming up in Brazil. At the weekend (October 26th and 27th), Carl Gustaf will take part in a program run by the World Scout Foundation, according to the royal family’s official calendar.
