Princess Madeleine: – Sentimental detail:

The Swedish royal family recently published both new family and portrait photos.

The pictures quickly got a lot of attention, partly due to Princess Estelle (10) who debuted in a long prom dress.

Another who is surprised in the pictures is Princess Madeleine (39).

Due to the pandemic, it has been difficult for the princess to travel to Sweden, as she actually lives in Florida in the USA.

There she lives with her husband Chris O’Neill (47) and their three children Princess Leonore (8), Prince Nicolas (6) and Princess Adrienne (4).

Now, however, she got the opportunity to join the family’s new photos.

Means something special

In the photos, Princess Madeleine is wearing a dress adorned with flowers. The dress is made by the Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt, who also designed Princess Sofia’s (37) wedding dress.

The steel tiara the princess has in her hair was a gift she received from her mother, Queen Silvia (78)when she turned 18 years old.

According to Swedish Women’s Magazine Queen Silvia received the diadem as a gift from kong Carl Gustaf (75) when they celebrated one of their first wedding anniversaries.

The first time the princess used the tiara was here in Norway when she was a guest in Crown Prince Haakon (48) and Crown Princess Mette-Marits (48) wedding in 2001.

See and Hear royal house expert Caroline Vagle can tell that this tiara has a sentimental significance for Princess Madeleine.

That is what she chose to use when she said yes to Chris O’Neill in 2013.

– The diamond tiara, which is decorated with small orange twig flowers, was also what the princess chose as her own bridal tiara. In other words, it’s obviously a big favorite that means something very special to her.
