Princess Leonor of Spain must be quarantined

The eldest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia has to be quarantined for fourteen days because someone in the class has tested positive for the corona virus. This means that Leonor and her classmates will take online lessons for two weeks. 14-year-old Leonor is in the fourth grade of the Santa María de los Rosales college, a private Catholic school.

The Spanish royal family confirms to Spanish media that King Felipe’s family is following “the regulations and health indications” of the health organizations.

On her first day of school, the princess’s temperature was measured to determine if she has a fever, which could be an indication of infection with the virus.

Social bubbles have been created in Spain for pupils over 9 years old: a limited group of fellow pupils with whom they are allowed to have contact, and the school must prevent as much as possible that pupils from different classes come into contact with each other.
