Fast Princess Kusuma Wardani Of Asian Games 2023 stopped in the round of 16. Putri KW lost in straight sets to the Indian representative, Sindhu navel.
The round of 16 in women’s singles individual badminton brought together Putri vs Pusarla. The match took place on court 2 of Binjiang Gymnasium, Wednesday (4/10/2023) morning WIB.
Putri KW was behind 4-7 at the start of the first set, before being able to equalize 8-8. The duel was fierce before the interval until Pusarla led 11-10.
Sindhu navel starting to relieve the pressure Princess Kusuma Wardani after the interval by keeping the points apart. The 2019 BWF World Championships champion finished the first game with a 21-16 lead.
Successive points occurred entering the second set until the score was tied at 4-4. Pusarla further led 12-10 after the interval.
Putri KW tried to equalize, but her opponent always maintained a point advantage. Pusarla entered match point with a 20-16 advantage.
Putri KW’s return ball which hit the net ensured Pusarla’s victory. This 28 year old badminton player won 21-16 and qualified for the quarterfinals.
