RoyaltyThe health of Princess Kate (42) continues to touch the world. Prince William’s wife (41) has now been staying in a private clinic in London for almost two weeks, where she is recovering from abdominal surgery. Although the princess receives the best care and she lacks nothing, she does miss her three children, Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5).
Meals on silver tableware, luxury products in the bathroom and even a concierge service: Princess Kate has a lot of luxury and comfort available at The London Clinic, where she underwent abdominal surgery thirteen days ago. But the most important thing in her life is missing at her side: her three children George (10), Charlotte (8) and Louis (5). According to the British media, they are not welcome in the hospital.
Officially, the strict guidelines of The London Clinic are the basis for the visit ban. “For the safety of patients, children and babies are not allowed to be brought along,” the rules clearly state. And although some Britons find it difficult to believe that no exception will be made for the future queen, other media also confirm that George, Charlotte and Louis have not yet visited their mother. “It would frighten the children if they saw their mother so ill,” writes ‘Bild’, Germany’s largest newspaper. “Maybe Kate even has a stoma or a fever, and then they need to be protected.”
Via FaceTime
However, that does not mean that Princess Kate has no contact with her children, says royal expert Emily Nash of the British ‘Hello Magazine’. “When Princess Kate had appointments abroad, she loved to FaceTime with her children. She certainly has frequent contact with them from the clinic. The children can’t wait to see her again when she is better.”
In the meantime, the princess can count on her husband’s support. According to the British media, William (41) visits her every day, often twice a day. The heir to the throne receives support from former nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo (53) and Kate’s parents Carole (68) and Michael (74) Middleton would also be a great help to the family. Although the uncertainty remains great, as it is still not clear what Princess Kate went under the knife for. Speculations about cancer were denied by palace circles and possible diagnoses such as Crohn’s disease or polyps were considered unlikely by the British press. And so the only certainty seems to be that no one knows what the princess is really suffering from.
