On Sunday 15 October, Prince Christian turned 18, and it was fitting that there was a gala at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen. The guest list was to reflect the celebrant’s own generation, and a number of young Danes were invited. Both representatives for all the municipalities, for a number of youth organizations and from the world of sport, art and culture.
Raises eyebrows
There were naturally also royal guests from home and abroad, including Crown Prince Haakon (50), Crown Princess Mette-Marit (50) and Princess Ingrid Alexandra (19).
The latter two were dressed in matching dresses, and in familiar style the princess had borrowed one of her mother’s old dresses.

Disney vibes
Mother and daughter’s choice of clothing has generated a lot of attention, among other things, on Instagram on the fan account @royalfashionpolice, which specializes in precisely royal fashion.
– Was very worried
“Coordinated family look and dress reuse was great”, writes one follower in the comments section, while others write: “It’s so beautiful when they reuse their mothers’ dresses” and: “Love the color coordination”.
The comments are mainly positive, but some also point out that they think Ingrid’s dress should have been adapted in a different way.

Many are happy to see that the Crown Princess was healthy enough to participate, and one simply believes that mother and daughter are adventurous.

Anna and Elsa are the princess sisters in the film “Frost”, where Norway was actually used as inspiration when the film was made. And it is not the first time that the Norwegian crown princess has been compared to fair-haired Elsa.
When British Princess Kate and Prince William visited Norway in 2018, American People wrote that when Kate landed in Norway, she came face-to-face with the real Elsa – and that it is noticeable how much the Norwegian crown princess resembles the Disney princess.
