Princess Ingrid Alexandra: – Special detail:

Friday was the big day where Norway’s heir to the throne, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, turned 18 years old. Now she has come of age and will be considered an adult member of the Norwegian royal family.

On Tuesday, the royal family published the first official photos of the princess on the occasion of her 18th birthday, which was just around the corner. On Friday night, three new photos of her were posted.

Same dress as mom

In the photos, Ingrid Alexandra was wearing a long, black dress with short sleeves and glittering, long earrings.

But for the occasion, the choice did not fall on any dress. See and Hear royal house expert Caroline Vagle can inform that it is Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s dress, which she wore at the Nobel concert in 2004 – the same year as the princess was born.

– The dress is from Lanvin, and the Crown Princess wore the same year as the princess was born. How cool is that not? The dress is actually as old as the princess, but still looks fresh and contemporary, says Vagle.

As far as I can see, the princess has consistently used her mother’s clothes in official contexts lately, and I can do nothing but pay tribute! I think it’s so cool, and she really stands out as a good role model. Wise, reflective and wonderful!

On Thursday, before the big day of government, the princess visited the three powers. In familiar style, she also appeared here in a stylish outfit wearing black suit trousers and a white blazer.

Vagle was later able to announce that Princess Ingrid Alexandra had gone for reuse regarding the jacket she was wearing for the occasion.

– On closer inspection, I see that the princess has also borrowed her mother’s jacket. A white Stella McCartney blazer she used during an EAT conference in Stockholm.

– I think it’s fantastic that the princess uses her mother’s clothes instead of buying new. Reuse instead of consumption! She really is a brilliant role model, the royal house expert added.

Compared to the Duchess

After Tuesday’s photos of Ingrid Alexandra became official, among other things New My Royals shared the photos and wrote a case about the princess’ big day.

However, there were several who confused the princess with Duchess Kate (40). In the comments section of the website, everyone expressed that she is similar to the latter and thought she was the duchess’ double.

“Oops, sorry. Thought the pictures were of the Duchess of Cambridge “, was among some of what one wrote.

“I’ve been saying it for years now – Kate’s double!” followed another up with.

‘Oh, she’s a real beauty! Believe it or not, the first moment I saw the first picture I thought it was Catherine! ” wrote a third.
