Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank:

In early February, the British split Princess Eugenie (31) and husband Jack Brooksbank (35) the nice news that they had become parents for the first time.

The couple, who got married in 2018, got a little boy, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

On Sunday, the son was baptized at Windsor Castle, but what was originally supposed to be a day of joy for the British princess family, was strongly marked by grief, writes among others Tatler.

In sorrow

Just three days before the baptism, Jack Brookbanks lost his father and little August’s grandfather. That confirms the family opposite The Telegraph, where it appears that he passed away on 18 November.

“Loved all the good things in life, but especially his wife, friends, boys, daughters-in-law and grandchildren,” the statement said.

George Brooksbank, who turned 72, is said to have been ill for a long time, and has not fully recovered from his coronary heart disease infection last year.

The princess and her husband still performed the son’s baptism on Sunday, which was held together Zara and Mike Tindall. The latter’s son Lucas was also baptized this weekend.

Became parents

Eugenie and Jack have cared for the baby ever since he was born. As is well known, the couple has shared his name, but have so far not shown him to the world other than in a couple of photos just after the birth.

“This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child, the Duke and Duchess of York’s first grandchild and the ninth great-grandchild of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. Her highness and the child are both well “, it was said in the press release when the little boy was born.

When the child’s name became known a few weeks later, it became clear that Eugenie and her husband had chosen to name him after his great-grandfather Prince Philip, who passed away only a few months later.
