Princess Diana handwritten letters auctioned for 80,000 euros | Royalty

The collection consists of letters and postcards that Diana sent up to seven years before her death. It was a turbulent time for her, in which she divorced Prince Charles and the very revealing biography Diana: ‘Her True Story’ was published about her.

In one letter, Prince William and Prince Harry’s mother writes that meeting Bramble was a “very welcome distraction from the mundane activities associated with an impending divorce.” In 1992 she told Roger about the “horrible week” she had had after all the media reports of her suicide attempt.

The proceeds from the auction will be donated to various organizations that have a warm heart for the princess, such as the ‘English National Ballet’ and the ‘Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra’. The Princess of Wales died in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997.
