Princess Charlotte – the only daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales – celebrates her eighth birthday today.
On this occasion, Kate and William posted a new portrait of Charlotte on their social media accounts. The photo was posted the night before.
“Happy birthday to Princess Charlotte! 8 tomorrow,” the Welsh wrote yesterday.
The close-up shot shows Princess Charlotte smiling broadly at the camera. She was wearing a summer white dress from Trotters with a small floral print with a collar. The picture was taken by Princess Kate at Windsor over the weekend.
This year, Princess Charlotte’s birthday week is going to be a busy one. Kate and William took a day off on their daughter’s birthday, and it was previously reported that in connection with this they will miss one of the rehearsals for the coronation of King Charles III. Charlotte is expected to join her parents, brother Prince George, 9, and brother Prince Louis, 5, for the coronation on Saturday, when their grandfather King Charles is crowned at Westminster Abbey along with Queen Camilla.
