Princess Charlene of Monaco has undergone a successful operation in South Africa and is currently recovering. The surgery was due to an infection in May.
The princess was under general anesthesia and will remain in the hospital in the Republic of South Africa for 48 hours for observation, AFP reported, referring to a man from the palace, quoted by BTA.
The princess was admitted to the hospital on September 1, when she suddenly felt unwell, but then did not have to undergo surgery. Eventually, however, things got more complicated, which led to surgery. It is believed that the reason for her emergency hospitalization was complications after dental implant surgery performed in Europe.
This is the second operation that Princess Sharpein has undergone in South Africa. The first was on August 13 at Durban Hospital, where she was hospitalized under a pseudonym and lasted 4 hours under general anesthesia.
Charlene arrived in South Africa in May to participate in the rhino protection organization’s charity event. In July, it was 10 years since their wedding to Prince Albert, but it was not celebrated in Monaco due to her absence. During her stay in South Africa, the princess was visited several times by her husband and their two children.
