Prince Albert of Monaco confirms to the American magazine People that Charlène has been admitted to a clinic outside Monaco. She would be overtired both physically and mentally. “The first few hours after she got back she was fine, but after that it became clear that she was not well at all,” said her 63-year-old husband.
Earlier this week it was announced that Charlène would not be present today at the celebration of the national holiday.

Charlène had also been separated from her family for months. The princess of Zimbabwean origin had been separated from her family since May. Charlène spent all those months in South Africa, where she has lived for a large part of her life, and was not allowed to leave the country because of an ear, nose and throat infection. A few weeks ago she went under the knife during a four-hour operation, from which she is currently still recovering.
