Princess Charlene of Monaco is in a stable hospital in the South African city of Durban, after she was admitted urgently two days ago, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
“The princess was taken to hospital by ambulance late Wednesday night after fainting due to complications from a severe ear, nose and throat infection, which was diagnosed in May,” a statement from the foundation said in her name.
In mid-August, Charlene underwent a four-hour operation in Durban for a similar infection. According to the local news portal News-24, she was supposed to undergo another postoperative procedure in the following days, but suddenly fainted on September 1 and this necessitated her hospitalization. According to the portal, the infection may have occurred at the beginning of the year when Charlene was operated in Europe in connection with dental implants.
Prince Albert II of Monaco and their children have already visited his wife in South Africa twice in the summer. They were there after her operation in August.
