Princess Charlene of Monaco has celebrated her return to the principality with a new official photo shoot.

In a first family photo, Charlene can be seen next to her husband and their children, the twins Jacques and Gabriella (7) with an Easter rabbit. A second photo shows the whole family during a mass. “Prince Albert and Princess Charlene wish you a wonderful Easter,” it sounds in a short accompanying message on social media.
Long absence
Princess Charlene, 44, has barely stayed in Monaco in recent months and years. According to the tabloid press, she first fled to her home country of South Africa because of marital problems and a possible divorce from Prince Albert (64), although that stay was the result of a medical procedure gone wrong and a subsequent infection, according to the Monegasque palace. Five months ago, Charlene briefly returned to Monaco, but was then very quickly taken back to a private clinic in Switzerland for what her husband described as “exhaustion, both emotional and physical”.

In mid-March, the princess finally returned to the principality, although she only sporadically participates in official activities. According to a press release, Charlene had to “settle down again before gradually resuming her official activities.” So now an official photo session follows as the latest step in that return to the public eye.
