Charlène has been in South Africa for five months, where she attended a funeral. She says she can’t go home because of inflammation of her cavities in the ears. “It’s terribly frustrating. I can’t fly, because then I get problems with my ears,” says Charlène herself. Earlier this week it was announced that the princess must stay at least until the end of October. “This is my longest time in South Africa, since I moved to Monaco in 2007.”

Meanwhile, Charlène’s husband, Prince Albert, to whom she has been married for ten years, is still in Monaco. There he resides with their six-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella. “They have been here,” says Charlène. “And they’re coming to see me one more time.”
