The ‘secret location’ where Princess Charlene of Monaco resides turns out to be a clinic. Prince Albert reveals this in a new interview with People. Charlene seeks help after ‘exhaustion, both emotional and physical’. He denied speculation that this exhaustion is the result of their marital problems.
“I’m probably going to say this several times, but this has nothing to do with our relationship. I want to make that very clear. These are not problems in our relationship; not with the relationship between man and woman. It’s of a different nature,” he said in the interview on Friday. “She was clearly exhausted, physically and emotionally. She was overwhelmed and unable to cope with official duties, life in general or even family life,” the prince added.
The news of Princess Charlene’s treatment comes just days after it was confirmed she a temporary interruption of her duties would take. She canceled a scheduled performance for Friday on Monaco’s national day. This came after her recent return to Monaco after spending six months in South Africa away from her family.
‘We love you’
A statement from the palace said it had been decided that both Prince Albert and Princess Charlene would need “a period of calm and tranquility” to ensure a good recovery for the princess. “Having struggled with ill health for the past few months, the Princess is currently recovering and will continue to do so for the coming weeks so that she can recover from a state of profound general fatigue.”
That is why, on this national holiday, she was ultimately not on the balcony with her family to watch the annual parade. Their children Gabriella and Jacques (6) sent a loving message to their mother from the balcony: ‘We miss you mommy’ (We miss you, Mommy) Gabriella’s drawing read. Jacques wore the drawing that read: ‘We love you mommy’ (We love you, Mommy).
