“Princess Catherine of Wales makes surprise appearance in Eurovision opening sequence”

LIVERPOOL (VG) There was a famous opening of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool on Saturday evening when Princess Kate appeared in one of the opening sequences.

Kate Middleton (41), or Catherine, Princess of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall which is her actual title, was filmed at a piano during the opening number of last year’s winners Kalush Orchestra in the BBC’s broadcast.

Sky News writes that the sequence was filmed in Windsor Castle last month.

The Daily Mail writes that performance has been a well-kept secret at Windsor Castle.

Princess Kate is the spouse of Britain’s heir to the throne, William, Prince of Wales.
